In connection with an Assurance of Discontinuance, dated July 24, 2017, involving the State of Minnesota and Foundation for American Veterans (FAV), FAV withdrew its Minnesota charitable solicitation registration and was permanently prohibited from soliciting any contributions in the state.

FAV and the FAV Principals neither admitted nor denied the allegations contained in the Assurance, which included: fundraising solicitation misconduct, and improper recognition, valuation and reporting related to its gifts-in-kind donation program. The Assurance states: "FAV enters into this Assurance in compromise of claims, there having been no finding and/or admission of any violation for any purpose."
