The
official first day of spring 2024 is Tuesday, March 19. This date also marks the
vernal equinox. March 19th is the astronomical beginning of the
spring season in the Northern Hemisphere and the beginning of the autumn season
in the Southern Hemisphere. Meteorologically speaking March 1 is the official
first day of spring. Both dates are considered accurate. So, no matter which
day you choose to celebrate as the first day of spring be sure and enjoy it!
